THE LIFE AND RHYMES OF BANJO PATERSON

HENRY HENDALL COTTAGE & HISTORICAL MUSEUM.
Australia's most famous poet, Banjo Paterson, presented lectures in Sydney's Centenary Hall on the Boer War back in September 1900 - and it's the 125th anniversary this year.
You can learn about Banjo Paterson's amazing life all hear your favourite poems on MONDAY OCTOBER 6 at 2pm - HENRY HENDALL COTTAGE & HISTORICAL MUSEUM.
‘THE LIFE AND RHYMES OF BANJO PATERSON' is an entertainment show presented by Gregory North, who is a professional performance poet. The show incorporates visuals as well as recitations of several of Banjo's popular poems, along with a history of his life.
The show will be held in the museum and grounds of Henry Kendall Cottage, West Gosford on Monday October 6.

Breakers Men's Golf Club are holding their annual Trivia night

BREAKERS COUNTRY CLUB
Breakers Men's Golf Club are holding their annual Trivia night to support the Central Coast Prostate Cancer Support Group and Prostate Cancer Research.
The evening will consist of Trivia, plus indoor Putting and Chipping competition, raffles and lots of prizes.
So, if you'd like to have a great night out and support a worthy cause, go along on Saturday October 11 at 6.30pm.
It's a ticketed event and tickets are available at Breakers Country Club reception.
EMPOWER GOLF COME TRY – GOLF CLINIC
Gosford Golf Club,
Empower Golf invite the disabled community to attend a “Come & Try Free Golf Clinic”. It's held the first Tuesday of every month between 11 & noon.
No prior experience in Golf is needed – just go along and give it a try!
The location is Gosford Golf Club, and the clinic is run by an accredited specialised coach and open to anyone living with a disability.
Gosford Golf Club is also home to a ParaGolfer. This all-terrain mobility device allows people to move into a standing position, replicating the full golfing experience for those affected by spinal injuries and conditions like cerebral palsy.
BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL even though it's a free clinic.

Self-Love Yoga
Wyoming Community Centre
Self-Love Yoga are running classes on Tuesday nights in the Wyoming Community Centre.
They run between 6.30 & 7.30pm on Tuesday nights and payment is by gold coin donation.
Everyone is welcome – It's on at the Wyoming Community Centre, 147 Maidens Brush Road Wyoming, so bring your yoga mat and go along on Tuesday Nights!.
The Mangrove Mountain and Districts Country Fair

The Mangrove Mountain and Districts Country Fair is on again this year, on OCTOBER 18 - and it's always a great family day out.
The fair offers a real Country Fair experience, with farm animals, pony and amusement rides, farm machinery displays, great food, and fresh fruit & veggies!
There's also a great variety of entertainment across three stages throughout the day. This year's headline acts include Country Music star, Courtney Keil; Slim Dusty's Son's band - Two Tone Pony, Jasmine Sparkes and Sydney funk band - Exploding Happiness.

The Peninsula School for Seniors

Every TUESDAY – THE PENINSULA SCHOOL FOR SENIORS meets at the Peninsula Community Centre.
The group offers support to the aged residents on the Peninsula, giving them the opportunity to meet like-minded people, form friendships and socialise.
They hold a weekly meeting, offering bus trips. outings, and welfare check ins. The group also celebrates birthdays, do book swaps, play games or talk about current affairs.
Each week they invite a different speaker along to share their knowledge on a subject, hobby or passion. They have all kinds of presenters from Beekeepers, local members, Perma culturists to local historians. So, if you'd like to join them, go along at 10am on Tuesdays, to the Peninsula Community Centre at 93 McMasters Road, Woy Woy.

Morning tea is provided with entertainment between 11 and noon.
There's a raffle with admission prizes on offer and hot meals and sandwiches that you can order on the day.
