Johny Row

I did a radio show on the northern beaches for 10 years and moved to the central coast a few years ago. I am continuing my radio journey at Coast FM and host a fortnightly show on Sunday nights called Right Time Wrong Speed playing the best new music from independent artists and labels.

A Davistown local, during the week I work as a Teachers Aide in a special needs school and I am passionate about championing the rights of people with disabilities. On weekends you might catch me out on my Tinnie, walking the dog (or chickens) or chasing round after my 18 month old son Alfie. If you hear weird screams coming from my house, don't worry it's just me cheering on my beloved Newcastle United the greatest football team in the world!

l was a big fan of the British DJ John Peel growing up, who instilled in me a love for radio and a desire to constantly seek out new and interesting sounds that has stuck with me to this day. Remember when you were 14 and first heard that new band who made a sound unlike anything you had ever heard and you just wanted more of it? By their 20's most people have formed their musical tastes and stop listening to new music but this never happened with me. I am constantly striving to hear something I haven't heard before and want to share this with a bigger audience and champion independent artists and record labels.
