Cantoo Ocean Swim Program


CanToo's Ocean Swim program - the perfect opportunity to take on the challenge of a 1km or 2km ocean swim, boost your fitness and confidence, whilst also helping to fight cancer! Running from 13th February – 3rd May, this 12-week program has 2 professionally coached training sessions per week – Friday morning pool sessions at Peninsula Leisure Centre, Saturday morning at Umina Beach. There is a cost for the course, but you'll become part of a supportive, uplifting community and have the opportunity to raise funds to support CanToo's mission from health promotion to funding vital cancer research.

The Wyong Stroke Club provides support for members & their carers.
They meet at "The Diggers Leagues Club", The Entrance Rd, Long Jetty on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, between 10.30 & 12.30.
Members are kept up to date with relevant news, information and research AND they have regular outings throughout the year.

The Peninsula School for Seniors

93 McMasters Road, Woy Woy


Every TUESDAY – THE PENINSULA SCHOOL FOR SENIORS meets at the Peninsula Community Centre.
The group offers support to the aged residents on the Peninsula, giving them the opportunity to meet like-minded people, form friendships and socialise.
They hold a weekly meeting, offering bus trips. outings, and welfare check ins. The group also celebrates birthdays, do book swaps, play games or talk about current affairs.
Each week they invite a different speaker along to share their knowledge on a subject, hobby or passion. They have all kinds of presenters from Beekeepers, local members, Perma culturists to local historians. So, if you'd like to join them, go along at 10am on Tuesdays, to the Peninsula Community Centre at 93 McMasters Road, Woy Woy.

Variety Social

Auditorium -50 plus leisure and learning centre in Gosford.


Variety Social, is a happy gathering of seniors held every Thursday between 9.30 and 1 at the 50 plus leisure and learning centre in Gosford.
Morning tea is provided with entertainment between 11 and noon.
There's a raffle with admission prizes on offer and hot meals and sandwiches that you can order on the day.
So, if you are after a fun day and enjoy meeting new faces, go along on Thursdays at the Auditorium in the 50 plus Leisure & Learning Centre on Albany Street, Gosford.
There's a small admission fee, and if you'd like more information, call.

Lisarow Probus Group


If you're retired or semi-retired, you don't have to sit at home all day.

The Soul on the Central Coast team are staging another Australia day weekend event of soul music.

Local and interstate DJ's will once again be playing their precious vinyl records on January 23– 25 at the Central Coast Leagues Club and it's a ticketed event.

Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite or pay cash at the door.
Any profits from this event will be donated to local charities.

"Health on the Streets" is a mobile clinic providing essential healthcare to the homeless on the Central Coast.
Staffed by healthcare professionals and outreach workers, the van offers medical care, mental health support, and connections to social services.
Donations keep the clinics running and fund vital supplies. You can get involved by donating online or volunteering.

Umina Beach


The Central coast branch of the Disabled Surfers Association is returning to Umina Beach with their ‘Smiles on Dials' event on Saturday FEBRUARY 7.
The DSA, is a volunteer run organisation that enables people of all ages and abilities to enjoy a past-time in Australia that many take for granted – beach surfing!
Surfers have been quick to register their interest, and they now need many volunteers to make the day safe and enjoyable.
Volunteering, at a Smiles on Dials event, consists of helping participants to and from the beach and in and out of the water, along with set up and clean up.
Volunteers do not need to know how to surf, although water skills are highly valued. Food is provided and smiles are always encouraged!
Interested surfers and volunteers, can register before the day or even on the day.
