Croquet Club At Bateau Bay

Would you like to learn how to play Croquet?
The EDSACC Croquet Clubs 4 lawns & clubhouse is in the EDSACC sporting complex and they are the ONLY CROQUET club on the Coast!
The club is across the road from the Bay Village shopping centre Bateau Bay.
They have over 100 members mostly in the senior age group, although Croquet is a game for all ages.
It's a tactical game that does not require super strength to play but is social and fun.

Walk to Defeat Motor Neurone Disease May 17
Starts At Long Jetty Foreshore
Did you know, that right now, 37 families on the Central Coast, are experiencing the devastating effects of Motor Neurone Disease (MND), and they need your support.
You can take steps to show them they're not alone in their fight, by joining the Walk to Defeat MND.
The 5km all-ages, all-abilities charity Walk will take place at 10am on Sunday May 17 at Long Jetty Foreshore Reserve, Long Jetty.
It will raise funds and awareness to provide information, equipment and support to people living with MND, and their carers and families.

Whatever It Takes - Night of Nights For Kye

"Whatever It Takes: Night of Nights for Kye" is a special fundraising event organised to support local 17-year-old Kye following a devastating spinal injury sustained during a surf accident at Wamberal Beach.
Guests will enjoy a two-course meal, drinks, DJ, raffles, and prizes.
Contributions will aid funding for Kye's therapy, equipment, and mental health needs, providing valuable assistance to his family as they navigate the path to recovery.
Support Kye and his family and join in a night of celebrating community and resilience. It's a ticketed event on May 30.

The service is a helping hand to make ends meet for low-income earners and people in need.
The food pantry is in the Yaringaa Building, John Hoare Close, Woy Woy, membership is free, and all are welcome!

"Health on the Streets" is a mobile clinic providing essential healthcare to the homeless on the Central Coast. Staffed by healthcare professionals and outreach workers, the van offers medical care, mental health support, and connections to social services.

Central Coast Schools Bridge Challenge June 14
Bridge is a trick-taking card game played in a partnership and is a game of strategy, analysis and problem solving.
On June 14, the first Central Coast Schools Bridge Challenge will be on and entry is free!
You can participate in pairs and there are great prizes for the winners and their school's fundraising initiative.
Free beginner lessons are available to all competitors at the Long Jetty clubhouse during the second week of the April school holidays and for 4 Sundays prior to the competition in May.
Entries close Friday June 5, so get in quickly!

CENTRAL COAST COMMUNITY TRANSPORT helps people throughout the Coast with medical, social and essential transport needs, helping them stay connected and independent.
Their new Program is The Healthlink Shuttle - a low-cost community share transport for option, for travel from the northern areas of the Coast to Gosford for health services.
Their group social outings program is up and running offering new social outings, every month and they are looking for volunteers to act as a social assistant. Central Coast Potters present ‘Monochrome' - a selective exhibition at the Community Gallery - Gosford Regional Gallery.
This exhibition explores the theme of Monochrome, using black, white and grey or shades of a single hue through clay, to produce works from domestic wares to sculptural pieces. 24 artists from the Central Coast Potters Society have come together to create the exhibition.
It's on between May 8 and Wednesday May 20 between 9.30 & 4 daily with the opening event on Saturday May 9 at 2pm. All are welcome!.
Largest Bbq Lesson In History - June 7

Zestiny Farm on the Central Coast, wants to break a Guinness World Record on June 7.
They are looking to bring together 350 plus people, to break the world record for the largest BBQ lesson in history.
They'll be cooking veggie burgers sourced straight from the farm using electric grills - powered by electric vehicles to do so, and they're raising money for OZHarvest to help those most in need of food.
It's going to be a fantastic day, and they'd love you to be involved.

Dementia Cafe - 'D-Caf'

If you are caring for a loved one who is living with Dementia, a ‘ROTARY D-CAF'
is for you both. A Dementia Café is a group which gathers for morning tea twice a month,
providing suitable activities for those with dementia, whilst offering an opportunity for carers to chat & support each other.
From February 2026, Rotary The Entrance, is offering a new D-CAF in the BATEAU BAY PCYC building on the ground floor.
It will be held every 1st and 3rd TUESDAY of the month, between 10am and noon.
This is a free service. If you are interested in attending, places are limited.

The 50th season of the Winter Swim Club - FRIDGID DIGITS - has started and runs until September.
It's on Sundays at Putty Beach Killcare and commencing at 8.30am, and new members are being welcomed for the month of May.
They have members ranging from kids up to swimmers in their 70s, 80s and beyond, and many of them swim everyday year-round.
So, if you're interested in the benefits of cold-water swimming, go along to Putty Beach, Killcare at 8.30am on Sundays.

On the 12th of June, Coast Shelter is inviting the community to come together for the Coast Shelter Sleepout at polytec Stadium.
The event is about standing alongside people experiencing homelessness and domestic and family violence on the Central Coast; and ever dollar raised stays local.
This year, the Sleepout has been reimagined as a genuine community night out, whether you stay the night or just come for the evening, you can be part of the solution.

TALK TO ME BRO is an organisation who's mission is to reduce suicide to zero in Australia. Through early intervention, they aim to create societal change - reducing the stigma in attitudes towards suicide, and empowering people to take control of their mental health.
They offer tailored mental health programs that meet the unique needs of each individual audience such as workshops, keynote sessions, immersive experiences, and team-building activities and more. Their programs focus on resilience-building, communication, and self-care strategies that participants can integrate into their everyday lives. They have monthly catch ups at Norah Head Lighthouse and more community events to come.

Search Dogs Sydney are hosting a sausage bbq on the 23rd of May from 9am to 2pm.
With support from the public and local council, volunteers and their search dogs give hope when families need it most and bring loved one's home.
This BBQ, supported by IGA at Lone Pine Shopping Centre Umina, helps to raise funds to support the work these volunteers and their incredible dogs do.

Empower Golf invite the disabled community to attend a “Come & Try Free Golf Clinic”.
No prior experience in Golf is needed – just go along and give it a try!
The clinics are now held at Gosford, Wyong, Shelly Beach and Woy Woy Golf Clubs on different days. They are run by an accredited specialised coach and open to anyone living with a disability. See the locations for days.
The Golf Clubs are all home to a ParaGolfer. This all-terrain mobility device allows people to move into a standing position, replicating the full golfing experience for those affected by spinal injuries and conditions like cerebral palsy.
