Wayne C

Presenter

From an early age, I was always using my parents' radio and turntable player, pretending to be a radio announcer. From weather updates to reporting on the traffic and playing songs in the bedroom, I was always trying to be a radio DJ.
Now, thanks to Coast FM, I am living that dream (the difference being I now don't get a knock on the bedroom door from my parents telling me to turn the music down!)

My dad always had the radio on so I grew up listening to great presenters such as John Laws, Gary O'Callaghan, Rob Duckworth, Doug Mulray , Malcom T Elliot , John Kerr , Pete Graham , Bob Peters and even John Singleton.

Marcia Hines sang ‘Music is my life, my life is music' and I think that song sums me up well. I have loved music from an early age and some of my favourite bands include Bon Jovi, INXS, Pseudo Echo, Huey Lewis and the News, Daryl Braithwaite, The Hollies and Spandau Ballet . My first ever album was Brian Ferry's 'Let's Stick Together' and my all-time favourite song is John Lennon's ‘Starting Over'.

I enjoy gardening (I have lots of rose bushes – I may need Cheralyn Darcey's help) and love barbequeing on the weekends. My sport of choice is rugby league (go the Storm), spending time with my dogs (Monique, Remi and Ziggy) and dining out at restaurants, supporting our local Central Coast businesses. My normal Monday to Friday job is In the automotive trade as a Manager that keeps me busy.

You can catch me every Sunday morning for Sunday breakfast live and local or filling in on weekday Classic Hits, Soundtrack of the 80s and 70s and also Jukebox Saturday night and Vinyl Revival.
