SOUNDS OF THE COAST – A Free Live Music Spectacular!
Get ready, Central Coast! The region's leading Community Radio Station, Coast FM 963, is bringing you an unforgettable day of live music at SOUNDS OF THE COAST – a free event celebrating local talent at Terrigal Beach House on Sunday, April 27th from midday.
For eight hours, enjoy non-stop performances from some of the best solo artists, duets, and bands in the region, all while soaking in the stunning ocean views at this iconic venue. Coast FM will be broadcasting live from Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific during the afternoon, capturing all the excitement of the day!

Like Sister & Brother
Some of the greatest bands in music history were built on family ties. This April, our "Like Sister & Brother" feature celebrates the legendary groups where siblings played a key role in shaping the sound of classic hits from the ‘60s to the ‘90s. Whether it was the soaring harmonies of The Bee Gees, the stadium rock anthems of Van Halen, or the smooth melodies of The Carpenters, these bands proved that music truly runs in the family.
All month long, we'll be spinning the best of these sibling-powered bands, bringing you the classic hits that defined generations. Tune in and celebrate the families who turned their shared talent into timeless music!.

Artist of the Day - The Twilights
The Twilights formed in 1964 as a vocal harmony trio in the Adelaide suburb of Elizabeth. The group initially employed various local acts for musical backing, but in late 1964 they merged forces with The Hurricanes and became a full-time six-piece. A record deal with Columbia followed, and over the course of several 45 releases the group's popularity snowballed from local to national, peaking in September '66, when their sixth single, "Needle In A Haystack" hit the #1 spot.
Ironically, just as the group's creativity was shining brightest, their popularity was beginning to fade. After five years together they eventually called it a day in January 1969. Years later, Glenn Shorrock found international success with the Little River Band, while Terry Britten went on to write songs for Cliff Richard, Tina Turner and Michael Jackson.

Applications close Friday, 11th April 2025, with winners announced on Thursday, 1st May 2025 on Coast FM 963!
