Mish Martin
As a young person of musical adoration, Mish Martin commandeered the Juke Box at her father's cafe, the Flamingo Coffee lounge in the late 1960's.
Known for great toasties and coffee, Mish kept the patrons warm with the crack of vinyl, every school holiday, playing Rod Stewart, Manfred Mann and the like.
Never one to hold a tune or sing in key, Mish was advised to quit the compulsory choir at school and join the band.
Her instrument of choice was Drums. Listen closely, you may hear her tapping away on air. Mish plays the flute to her puppies - California Dreaming - so she is Mumma and the Puppas. She tried the cello, piano and guitar and decided to play the music rather than an instrument.
Mish undertook the training course at Coast FM in 2010, her first gig was – and still is - Weekend What's On. She received a scholarship through the station and studied at the Australian Film Television & Radio School and has recently enrolled into a Radio and Podcasting course this year.
Her love for music is contagious and her love for presenting at Coast FM is apparent. To Mish, Coast FM and its loyal listeners are like family.
