Barrie Taylor
Presenter
Barrie Taylor started a towing business in the Sydney suburb of Concord in February 1966, later relocating to Ashfield. Barrie moved his family to the Central Coast in 1981 and established Taylor's Towing Service, operating it until his retirement in 2012.
With his uncle having been the manager of Festival Records and signing Johnny O'Keefe to his first recording contract, it was in the family genes for Barrie to become involved in playing the great rock ‘n' roll music of the late 50's and early 60's. Barrie began at Coast FM in 2001, back when the callsign was 2CCC. His first show on the air was from midnight to dawn on Saturday nights, playing My Kind of Music.
These days, Barrie presents Hit Parade every Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4, Baby Boomers every Thursday night 8 to 10 and on rotation with others on Soundtrack of the 60's and Six o'clock Rock on Saturdays.
